To me, Tracie Stewart’s and Teresa Klein’s art project “Sweetness of Circles” is founded on the scientific fact that energy cannot be destroyed and, that, regenerative life is a desperate and foundational truth.
That means that we humans, and all that is known and unknown, are managed by an energy that we cannot see, and do ignore because within our ignorance, insensitivity, and its’ control, we are largely unaware of its’ existence … until we pause, as Tracie and Teresa have … to reflect.
Tracie and Teresa have, within this art project, deemed to guide and manipulate individual and group participatory energies towards deep universal and profoundly personal mark-making. Tracie and Teresa’s curiosity and deep insight into the spirit of evolving nature within a damaged and overcrowded world guides their choice of sites and environments for engagement to complement their message, through delegates, which inevitably evolves in ‘the doing’.
This creativity in soliciting emotion, possible insight, but definitely action and emotion, will culminate in a gallery show at the Odlum Brown Gallery, Chilliwack Cultural Centre, and which, I predict, will ask you to be fundamentally curious about universal health, individual insight, and the communal and individual concept of beauty, health, love, appreciation, interpretation, debate, values and truth.
However, I do believe that Tracy and Teresa choose consciously to concentrate on accenting goodness and hope while consciously choosing to acknowledge but not exploring the realities of pain and sadness within their guidance while, perhaps, inviting those who do, to participate without judgement.
And, within that is the endless potential of insight and creativity which Tracie and Teresa set on their welcome project.
With sincere Love and Appreciation,
