Silence in the beauty of nature was key to freeing that elusive code. One locked in the receptors of the cells, a familial code that though seemingly absent, was waiting, dormant, to be called into service.

In the stillness of the forest we moved from the usual place of busy mind to a quietude and collective listening; an initiative of the intuitive, where boundaries of isolation dissolved.

With bodies tuned to the earth, grounded in its resonance, we tapped that interconnected frequency that opened us to hearing the breath of the trees and the wishes of the winged and crawling ones.

Drops of water blended with graphite, became the medium with which participants each marked expressions of their own unique experience upon the mulberry paper scroll. We drew in sweet wonder as we lay upon the composting leaf covered ground. Positioned alongside the 20’ scroll, on a seldom frequented path, a collective story unfolded.

With a sense of the timeless, warmed in the winter air by something more than ourselves we circled back to ready for a car pool to a local coffee house, where we deepened the bond of our time together though quite contemplative conversation and camaraderie.
